      Finally you changed your opinions.
Relentless ban is a step in a right direction, but not a solution.

I actually know both the guys that sent in the ball pit picture and the bed picture. The ball pit is actually a private ball pit the gentleman has in his house. It is pretty fun. The bed was actually covered in laundry detergent as that glows under black light.

I don't think that any of us suggested that it was an end-all-be-all solution. We were just all in agreement that it was needed for the health of the game.

Well, you were suggesting, that the ban will change the meta a lot.
      We will see what happens.

First time board game - Resistance. We played tons of games of it on Table Top Day as well as Superfight! Both great and fun games! We had a blast all morning and afternoon before we had our Dice Masters OP that evening. Such a great way to start the day this past Saturday. I've never played Legendary, but it's on my list of games to look into.

For Free Comic Book Day, I'm doing demos all day long, until our OP in the evening. I can't wait for FCBD! Our store has several ASM, but only ASM. I've seen lots of different stores with different starters. I believe it's just random as to what starters each store got. I've got my starter reserved! If you're around Dyersburg, TN - come by Collector's Connection! I'm also giving away free commons to any new player that either plays a demo or watches a demo. I was thinking of doing a door prize thing to give away the starter, because I certainly do not need another ASM starter.

As far as Impulse, it sounds like they're giving an already existing ability an actual keyword. Like they did with Overcrush. It shows game evolution and definition which is always good! And omg... heroic... I try to forget that Ability. Maybe they can fix it or revamp it...

It's extremely interesting to see how the meta is in different locations. True Mister Six does tournament reports and the team he likes is not one that I could play in my local meta. Glad Stuart had fun! That's what truly matters!

Relentless totally needed to be banned, but hopefully there are some fixes coming in the future to battle the aggro blitz. I've said it before and I'll say it again - aggro is still strong. My husband thought aggro was dead, until I showed him how good it was still. When we were test playing recently, I had him play Blitz and go first so that I could learn how to survive past turn three. OP Scarecrow is not the only option, though he's a great option. Oracle, Master Investigator seriously slows down the Blitz.

Great episode today! I enjoyed it!

It might not even be bard that is broken, though he is still ridiculously scary. I think the problem is that prismatic spray currently destroys almost every counter to the bard blitz or the aggro rush. Unless you play a team that can field a lot of blockers every single turn then there is little you can do except run aggro yourself and hope to go first.

Ring, Lesser Gear or Ring, Epic Gear is your friend against the Blitz and aggro teams.

Thanks, guys, for the excellent podcast. I've been listening for a few months (only been playing the game about five) and can't begin to count the number of times I've heard about the HUGE first-turn advantage. Is this something that the R&D folks at Wizkids have ever taken a close look at? I know they're looking into relentless and other matters, but I do wonder if there has been any talk whatsoever on solving this massive imbalance. I understand most other games deal with this problem right out of the gate.

Thanks for listening! As to your question, I don't know if there is anything to address in the works or being done-but we can see that there is a big difference going second in this game with two competitive players going head to head equally skilled at the game. Where that goes and if it ever gets addressed remains to be seen...

The ban changes the meta for sure. How much it does, we shall see. It may not even change the way the teams are constructed, but it gives you more than 3 turns now to develop a game plan and mount an offensive counter as well.

I would love for the second player to get an extra ? energy for their first turn. One time deal, doesn't mess with your bag management, helps with counter-play.

I think the main issue now that "can't block" globals have been banned is dealing with Prismatic Spray. As long as P Spray is around, aggro has a huge advantage on Control. Magic Helmet only works on characters that can equip it. This seriously limits your choices as Human Paladin and Dwarf Wizard seem like the best candidates to wear it. Poor OP Scarecrow can't stop Bard once it rolls P Spray (unless you want to count on 50% with Constantine or DCK which is 5 cost and only works on the first opposing action).

Another solution would be for combos to outrace Bard but lose out to control, but I haven't seen that happen.
