• NEW Deadpool, TMNT, Iron Man, Batman Spoilers!

Quick thoughts on some photos from what appears to have been an Alliance event:

Crossover characters return in Deadpool - more What-If SRs!
No wildcard restriction, but 6 cost.
Iron Man affiliation... And Dum-Dum Dugan in the starter?
Suit Up keyword. I LOVE it. I love the theme, the cost, the effect. I love it all.
Turtles are still expensive, but Turtle Power is back to help with that.
Shredder's ability might imply the return of Foot Soldiers. Can anyone make out the dice?
Why does the boxed set still not come with enough action dice for the 4 player game?!
Batman stuff appears to be a very early mock-up.

As requested above, here's the text I can make out from the cards:

      Iron Man starter slide:

Hulkbuster Iron Man - Rocket Powered Punches (Cost: 6, fist)

Suit Up - Iron Man (When purchased, you may KO an Iron Man character die to field this die at level 2)

      Iron Manor - Earth X (4-cost, bolt)

Ability: unknown, presumably suit up (When purchased, you may KO an (?) die to field this at level 2
Global: Once per turn, on your turn, spin down (?) character die. You may field an (?) less.

Upgrade - Proton Cannon, Basic Action Card (cost: 2)

(?) character die you control gains (?). KO that character die at end of (?) isn't a fist character die.

      TMNT slide:

      Donatello - Technologic (5-cost, bolt)

When Donatello attacks, deal 1 (?) target opponent for each other (?) character you control.

Leonardo - Plight of the Eldest (5-cost, fist)

When Leonardo attacks, you may pay (?) 2 damage to target character die or opp(onent?)

      Michelangelo - Insatiable Appetite

When Michelangelo attacks, (?) to deal 2 damage to target ch(aracter?) (?) opponent.

Raphael - Controlling His Temper (5-cost, shield)

Turtle Power (same as in the first TMNT; reduces purchase cost of other turtles by 1)

      Shredder: False Bushido (8-cost, mask)

When fielded, move all Foot Ninja dice and up to 2 Sidekick dice from your Used Pile to the Field Zone at level 1.

      Deadpool What-ifs:

I'll leave it to someone else to put the text from those; I simply can't read them because the text is blurry/pale.

The only one whose text I can actually read is:

Wolverine Lord of Vampires - The X-Vampires Will Feed (6-cost, requires one of each of the four types)

(?) (Wolve)rine Lord of Vampires is active, (?) (oppos?)ing character die is KO'd, he (?) to target opponent and you (?).

The Batman slide has no text on any of the cards.

      Hope that helps!

Captain America with Mjolnir appears to be something to the effect of "while active the first time each turn you use a global, deal your opponent 1 damage, while active the first time you use an action die each turn deal your opponent 1 damage"

Are we going to have to buy two starters to have max dice?

If that's the case I'm out.

I don't know if this was intentional, but as someone who plays with my boys, I have to say this last set (Green Arrow/Flash) and the Harley pictured above have been MUCH better in the "mostly clothed" department. My wife went through my War of Light set with stickers to "fix" most of the costumes in that set, but GAF needed no stickers, so I appreciate it regardless of whether or not it was on purpose!

Don't have young boys, but my young girls identified several of the WoL characters as "inappropriate" all on their own. I have to agree. There's plenty of art that fans and families can appreciate together. Glad that's the pool they're using.

That's a good point. I hadn't even noticed, but yeah, thinking back on Justice League and War of Light (to name just those two), some of the outfits were...not all-ages friendly, to say the very least.

Even though the game is technically rated 14 and up, a lot of people who play the game play it with their kids (and I'll probably introduce my oldest son to it once he's a bit older). Good on Wizkids that they made adjustments accordingly.

And although I'm typically more of a DC fan than Marvel, the female Marvel characters tend to wear, on average, much more... well, just more.

As an aside, I was just listening to the podcast and heard you reference your girls, and they are almost exactly the same ages as my boys - mine are 3-6-8. So far the middle one is the one who has really gotten into Dice Masters, he asks to play almost every Saturday. It's kind of his ticket to "Daddy-time," I think.

He recently pulled his first ever Super Rare after the kids' campaign event, and it was Starfire! He asked if he had to put a sticker on it, and I said not until we get it in a sleeve!
