• TMNT2 and IronMan/WarMachine Spoilers!


    BIG NEWS this week as we got our first look at ALL of the TMNT2 and IM/WM sets! Our Interwebs Master Paul got screen captures of all of these cards and posted them. What are you looking forward to playing with the most? What looks great to use in PDC Prime?       I really like that the turles have a more expensive tsarina ability. It makes them at least useful outside of this set. Still really wish they would stop 3 dicing these though it is so unintuitive to the rest of the game.

      Polymorph Replacement in turtles. Also a good Overcrush card in turtles.

      Cone of cold replacement in Iron Man

      Seeing the action cards makes me think that there may be some cards rotating out.

      suit up look interesting but its not viable in prime as there is no version just called "ironman" unless they change the ruling

      Holy cow! I'm gonna peruse this a bit, but I'd like to point out how cool Momentum is. I don't know where or how it will see play, but that kind of acceleration is going to be cool to toy around with in unique or evil ways.

      Edit: And there goes my hopes that Prime will bring real BAC diversity...

      Le sigh. . . I was hoping that Polymorph, Transfer Power, Magic Missile, and Anger Issues would be gone for good, but I did put my hope in Wizkids. See where I went wrong?

      I think the idea is to use a previous "Iron Man" from another set...in Prime we can use the Civil War versions if we want to. In unlimited I'm thinking the 3 cost vanilla from the AOU starter, as he's the cheapest and it gets you to those bigger bodies sooner.

      If that is the case, then it would not be ideal to use the CW Iron Man. They all have high fielding cost with meh stats and not really potent abilities. I hope that Suit Up can be used with characters that have Iron Man in either the title or subtitle.

      I'm hoping for another iron man with a decent when fielded ability in gotg. When fielded draw a die on a reasonably statted (for cost) 3 cost die could be great with suit up. We don't need iron man to be 7/5 again. Just need him to fit with this strategy.

      From IM/WM:
      Howard Stark looks to be another interesting Ally to play with
      WarMachine has a good damage ability with fast.
      Rescue's suit up with Pepper Potts is excellent.
      Hypervelocity will be an interesting card to try with when attacks/blocks triggers.
      The upgrades action are good additions to energy type teams

      Having no "Iron Man" card feels like a problem for new players

      From TMNT:
      A two cost April with Turtle Power is exactly what turtle teams needed
      Renet Tillie, Slash, and Karai have interesting uses
      Good Basic action reprints, a magic Missile for turtles is fantastic
      Reclaim seems like a solid two cost action

      there are a lot of repeated characters, I don't like the inconsistent artwork in the set
