Fun to hear the creative forces of the TPA crew on the Reverse Life format. Now I really want to arrange a showdown between @Shadowmeld or @Flexie and the 10-yr old girl who bested me...

My local group did a Life Gain event a few months back. It seemed like more than half the teams there were based on the Ultraman Super Rare comboing with Kryptonite and Long Live the Resistance!.

My team did terribly (I think I went 0-4). It was based around the OP Marvel Girl and the OP Kitty Pryde. The former allows me to spin up to gain 2 life when I'm attacked. The latter allows me to spin the Marvel Girl dice back down. I think I also had a Rare Toad to force attacks from my opponent. The problem with that was, unless Toad was level 3, he was on a burst face, and also dealt 2 damage to the attacking characters. A lot of the time there wasn't anything I could target that would survive that to make the attack. Serious oversight on my part.

Also, I'm confused why, between them, Trubie and Shadowmeld seem to think their opponent will be kind enough to bring a second copy of Long Live the Resistance! but will be dumb enough to let them (i.e. Trubie/Shadowmeld) buy the majority of those dice. A player isn't going to bring that card unless he has his own plans for it, which will probably include buying it. (Well, maybe not if that opponent is running the Ultraman SR but - Spoiler Alert! - against that, the Trubie/Shadowmeld team isn't going to last long enough to buy 4 copies of Long Live the Resistance! anyway.)
