For the showdown, you guys should play with blank cards only.

      Showdown Rules suggestion.

Champion a set. Both pick a different set and all your team and basic actions must come from it. If you pick one that didn't have a starter you get Iron Man/ War Machine basic actions.

Bonus points if you champion your favorite set. (Honorary win if you try ASM)

      Ban List
      AVX
      Bard
      Relentless/Swords BAC

      Great show guys!

      Showdown suggestion:

      Constraint:
Your teams are limited to a single (non-BAC) card for each purchase cost < 5 (so, if you choose to have a 1-cost card, you can only have 1, ditto for 2, 3, and 4...)

      Add a global effect:
      Sell, Sell, Sell!
During your main phase you may return a die to its card to reduce the cost of the next die purchased by X where X is the printed purchase cost of the returned die.

(There is no limit on the number of times you do this in a given turn.)

      Ban list:
Relentless/Swords BAC, Professor X (that ramp would be too easy and minimize the value of Sell, Sell, Sell!).

I vote for this! Would be neat to see how different sets stack up against each other!

Showdown suggestion: Opposite day! For example "non-villains" becomes "villains," buffs become debuffs, "opposing" becomes "you."

Hidden Poly Sideboard. You bring your normal team and each bring polymorph and a D6. You can bring six extra cards as a hidden side board but they must be in cost order where the lowest is equal to 1 and highest is equal to 6 on the D6. Polymorph rules apply as normal but you can each poly in and out of the side board as well based on a roll of your D6.

Also, thanks for the gratuitous satchel use today! Best show ever!!!!!!!

This does sound good. But maybe you also get to bring a secret satchel that the other player has to randomly swap into their sideboard at the beginning of the game.

With one costs being so limited, I'd almost rather the 1 be a wild and let you pick, or just not let you sideboard with that use.

I think a No Starter Only Commons team build would be great to see and that way you can show others that you don't need Rares and SRs to be competitive!

It should be the battle of the big guns. All non-BACs must cost 4 or more.

Showdown suggestion: You cannot attack. You must skip your attack step every turn, unless any of your characters were taunted. Damaging BACs (including VS) are banned.

There are 11 sets, including team packs and starters, currently in the Modern Age. @IsaacBV and @TheConductr should each build a modern legal team, with the caveat that each card, including BACs, should be from a unique set. I would also add a ban of rare Lantern Ring to the Bard ban. Lead the way into the Modern Age by showcasing the best from these sets.

I am going to suggest one that was being tossed around at my local scene for their next monthly, but they settled on something else.

One person suggested since this month's event was on St. Paddy's Day that all of your characters must have green, white, or orange dice (colors of the Irish flag), with each color at least being represented once. Not sure how much that would limit your choices...

Tony, why not go big. Have a 20 card sideboard, 1 Poly in Bag to start the game each, and then you're able to "press your luck" and roll the D20 to poly something in/out. Each player brings 10 cards to the Sideboard and they share it.

      Huh.... huh...?!
