Question: In your discussion about how to ramp/churn in modern, Rip Hunter's was mentioned. In my last event, I played the common Rip Hunter (thank goodness I was allowed to borrow cards). However, the Black Bolt - Medusa team I am putting together I feel would benefit most from the uncommon Rip Hunter's which allows me to prep up to three masks. The team requires good timing (also discussed in the cast). Even though the uncommon Rip is a 5 cost, do you think that ability is better for my team?

Needless to say, there are a LOT of cards that will work well with my BBMedusa team in Green Arrow/Flash! Rip Hunter's is one, but others have told me that Black Adam will work very well. Cheap cost mask for great ability. Even the common since I will be KOing a lot of characters and deny opponent the ramp!

@cnhiggins I think your missing the purpose of the common and rare Rip Hunter's Chalk Board. The idea is to use the global, not so much the actual card ability. The global on those cards allow you to prep the next die you buy when you pay a shield prior to to the purchase.

His point is that, with his particular team, he needs a combo of three dice, and this card makes it reliable.

Exactly! However, only pulled common in recent purchases... Will make it work!

Got a rare Black Adam as well. Only one dice, but as long as that one stays out, I'm good! Just need to prevent my characters from getting KO'd... Will build wall of sidekicks!

As a frequent casual player, with a casual budget, the 2 Modern legal Swarms that are most appealing to me are the common Goblins and the Mindless Ones. Easily affordable on most budgets, easy to get 4 dice in each. (I'm missing the 1 pt Kobolds already; the struggle is real.) Just started playing some Lantern teams recently and had some good luck with the Jade drawing a die when a GL attacks. Started using the 2 pt dual energy Hal Jordan just as Jade fuel to good effect. Thanks for the great information.
