• The Transition Zone: All I Want For Christmas

This is the time of year where wish lists start coming together, and as a Dice Masters player I have my own list of wishes and things I cannot wait to see under my tree. New dice bags, packs, playmats, zen bins and so much more make me a happy roller. But what else is on my list?

This week on The Transition Zone, I want to share with you my Christmas wish list to WizKids and all of you about all things Dice Masters. Some of them are serious in nature, some are silly and some are both. But allow me to sit on the lap of jolly old Saint Nick and tell him everything I would love to see under my Christmas tree this year.

1-Please keep up the good end to 2015

Have you see the official rules forums? The WKO announcements? The new website? The announcements and contests in social media? I personally love how much we are seeing on the rules forums for the simple questions people ask and the controversial ones as well. Someone over there at WizKids has starting listening to all of us, and it shows. I hope to see the end of 2015 continue to bleed into 2016 with all of the interactions they have given us from WizKids.

2-Keep the sets coming at a reasonable rate

What is reasonable? I think 2-3 months between big set releases is fair. Keeps the game fresh and keeps us checking on new stuff while still seeing how the old sets become new and improved. I look forward to seeing where 2016 takes us past the 3 large announced sets and the 1 constructed set.

    3-New IPs would be awesomesauce

What is coming that we don't know about yet? What property has been secretly secured that we will see down the line? Star Trek, Lord of the Rings and other comic lines all seem like possibilities based on already held IPs, but what could surprise us? Other comics, video game characters, cartoon series-the list is endless. I personally would love to see Star Wars but won't hold my breath. I think some 80s cartoon series would be great like He-Man, GI Joe and Transformers as well. Image comics would present some great characters also.

    4-Online App play

How cool would a Dice Masters app be? Not just the good ones for tracking your collection, but a way to play the game on your tablet or smartphone whenever you can? I would be even less productive at that point, but would love to be able to play around with the game at any moment. Magic got there, maybe we will also.

    5-Keep being an awesome community

We are a young game. Some of you have been here since the beginning and some this may be the first article you have ever read. Some have gone, but a lot more have come. In the end, we all hold a piece to seeing this community do well or fail. Be the representative and ambassador you want to see in others. Don't be so critical to others. Don't be super harsh or use rose-colored glasses when you look at the game. If you enjoy the game, play it. If you don't, stop playing. Simple as that. But in the end, ,are sure to be cool to each other. Be someone I can be happy to have my kids around.

    6-Support your play scene

Do you have a favorite place to play? Support them by the way you buy from them and choose to play at their stores. Even if they are holding events on days you cannot attend, make the effort to purchase from them and tell others about the shop. If you want to see the game be successful, put the time in and invest in your local play scene to allow the game to continue to flourish.

So that's my wish list for a happy Dice Masters Christmas. I would also love to get that darn Cable and Tsarina alt art cards that evade my collection, but that's a different story So what about you? What would make your Dice Masters wish list this season? Let us know in the comments below.

Until next time, may all of you holiday wishes come true and all of your dice roll well!

On the App front - there is a quarriors app game on iOS- it wouldn't be too challenging to code a Dicemasters app too as they're already 2/3 of the way there...

The biggest thing I want Dice Masters Claus (or would that be Santa WizKids ) to leave in my stocking is a change in delivery and reorder to my FLGS locations. One store telling you something can be an excuse, someone blowing smoke up your trousers. 5 stores telling you about their difficulty in getting shipments in a timely manner is pretty believable. The only local store that tries to actively support a DM scene with OP prize support still doesn't have any ASM product. Other than that, the stockings have been hung with care; one FLGS is now carrying singles and Grampa just got Prismatic Spray to play with. Happy Festivus, everybody.

My DM wish is to limit the number of super rares to four a set.

I would like 3 months between sets and a chance to find missing dice.

Buuut what I want most of all from Jolly Ole St. Wizkids is better design and development so we aren't all confused by every third card!

Oh....and a gaurentee that when I open a card, it's die will be in the same pack.

I have heard about the possibility of opening a pack and getting the wrong die (after all, WizKids lists the possibility in the Rainbow Draft rules), but it has never happened to me or to any of other 5 people I play with on a regular basis. That would be....frustrating.

I've gotten a pack with 1 die missing....now there's even less of a chance that poor time Wizard will ever be played

I've actually had it happen three times. Once with a Iron Spidey SR, once with a Rhino UC and once with a Blink UC/C. The Blink pack had two Blinks and only one Blink die. The other was a Lizard.

Tough breaks. You've made it official: Somebody at WizKids needs a visit from Krampus and coal or switches in their stockings.

On a different note, has anybody put together a holiday themed deck? I was thinking about red and green combos like Hulk and Red Hulk, Joker and Harley Quinn, Green Goblin and Spider Man.
