• The Reserve Pool Podcast Season 2 Episode 12 WKO Preperations

A bit late as we were opening our DnD packs, but today Isaac and Shadowmeld talk about news, their favorite DnD 2 card and how to prep for the WKOs.

Additionally, Shadowmeld has a new team to try out, no team link though, until DnD2 hits Retrobox.

@Shadowmeld , there's one thing with your team that I'm uncertain about: does the Robin die really retain the villain affiliation when it's knocked out and, subsequently, regenerated? We know that regenerated dice return at full health so they don't retain any damage they've taken (side note: I'm lumping the Robin ability with regenerate because they're so similar but they may need to be treated separately). Wouldn't assigned abilities/modifiers work the same way? I don't think I've seen a rule/ruling related to this.

A die knows it's affiliation in what ever zone it's in. Dice in the Prep Area are still villains is they are made villains. There's a WKRF that addresses this, but I'm too lazy to look it up. @pk2317 or @Necromanticer .

Villain-maker Globals make target character a Villain "until end of turn," even if the character die leaves the Field Zone. Source

This would have been a good week to have the artist do a pic for the episode. I want to see the Frankenrobin

Thanks for pointing me to the ruling. Very interesting and a very clever team. Another option instead of Aquaman - Orin could be Black Manta - Deep Sea Deviant. You would need one less villain-maker energy die and he would do 4 retaliation damage instead of 2. Downside is a slightly higher fielding cost and no JL synergies.

Absolutely right there. Also, he's fist energy and that doesn't synergize well with the rest of the ream. However, he could allow you to take less Golems, and that might open more room for "answer" cards or even ramp. In the end I kept the team simple and cheap, but if you wanted to branch out, feel free, this is definitely not the BEST version of this combo, just an easy one.
