I can't make out what Vengeance is, but Iron Will looks like it will could really change how the game is played. Combat damage wouldn't take him out unless he was pinged earlier in the turn, and for this card in particular means you are guaranteeing your opponent extra dice. And those purchase/fielding cost? Wow.

Is there a convention this weekend that WizKids has set up?

Not loving the 'TM' at the end of Superman's name.

Superman looks very interesting - with Magic Missile you can build yourself a better Resurrection or with Giant Spider's Global it can become almost Deadpool: Jack.
Commissioner Gordon's ability might be: "Vengeance - When you take damage search your bag for a Batman die and put it in your Prep Area." The Global might be: "Global: Pay [2 fist] deal 1 damage to any player."

It's at the New York Toy Fair.

Superman™ and Batman™ have had those symbols since Justice League.

I'm curious about the other Lex Luthor cards, not loving the stats for a 4 pt die, especially compared to some of the new dice in D&D 2. I'm very happy to see the Ultraman and hope to see a great Crime Syndicate team affiliation come into play.

Actually, I believe Iron Will doesn't prevent a character from being knocked out from combat damage. On the contrary, it prevents being knocked out by anything but damage. The way knock outs work, you deal damage then check for knock out. What iron will does is say, you can only be knocked out by an effect that deals damage, not by pure KO effects.

That may be, but it reads differently to me. If they have been damaged previously on the turn, say by magic missile, or Johnny Storm, etc., then a KO effect would work.

"This character can't be KO'd UNLESS it was previously damaged this turn." (emphasis added)

I field Punisher McRook, he can't KO Superman.

I field, let's say, Green Arrow: Oliver Queen, he deals 2 damage to Superman. THEN I field Punisher McRook, and he can now KO Superman since he's already been damaged this turn. Sound about right?

Have we seen a single card from TMNT yet?

I completely agree with you, I realize I didn't make that clear. Targeted KO effects won't work unless some damage has been done. However, combat damage will also KO the character, without having to ping the character first.

I wouldn't be surprised if the intent of the ability is that if combat damage is the only damage they take then they aren't KO'd, but right now I can get behind KO in combat.

It's the yellow die on the top row to the right - a scarred coin face.

Vengeance seems to happen when you (or maybe your characters; we don't know what that part of the card says) take damage.

If the first is what they rule as, all it takes to stop that is a Magic Missile. But on a character with such large defence (eight on level three), it seems a very useful ability.
