Cold Anger

Rate this Entry
Alright, first blog here. I have recently gotten into DM. I love games but have never been a big CCG player other than growing up and playing Pokemon. So, lets try to see if this little possibility may have any chance in the correct conditions!

First thought, I don't know of the dice/card that will allow you to force someone to block a certain die, so if you could tell me that...that would be awesome!

So this random process of thinking comes to me looking back through some Basic Action cards, mainly
Anger Issues

and
Cone of Cold

Within these two cards I need Anger Issues' text and it's global, then I need CoC global.

So the idea is to field Wolverine: The Best There Is

and give him Overcrush +3A from Anger Issue dice and use the AI global for +1A then use CoC global to give him +2A this puts Wolverine at 14A. Now we use a card (still don't know which one) to force a sidekick or low defense character to block Wolverine. On Wolverine's text it says "Wolverine deals double damage to characters that block him." Therefore he is now dealing 28 damage. But, because he has Overcrush, any damage exceeding the blockers defense is dealt to the opponent.

In closing, I think that this is a likely situation, and will not take a lot of buying to get, especially if you throw in BEWD or PXG.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think...and if I am reading any of these incorrectly, let me know.

PS: the preview is not showing my 'colon codes' to be working so, if not I will find another way to show pictures of the cards.

    Hi @KingMatticus

    Anger issues = jul25
    Cone of Cold = bff131

Looks like colon codes are case sensitive.

    I use this as a guide - http://www.thereservepool.com/conten...-Common-Images

I would suggest putting something like Red Dragon on your team to make the required Basic Action dice cheaper.

There are pros and cons to either Red Dragon or Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but for this type of build Red Dragon is the winner for me as it has less dependencies.

Red Dragon requires only a where as BEWD require a and a character be fielded.

Thanks @fun4willis for the great ideas! Yeah I do like the Red Dragon card! I haven't had the chance to buy and D&D boosters, game store around here doesn't sell them. But I like the look of that one!

Try changing your blog settings. If you "Disable smilies in text" then the colon codes won't work. You need to make sure you leave that box unchecked otherwise you'll get

Haha! I had the same issue when I was previewing my first blog post, so I suspected you might have the same problem. Glad I could help !
