As you guys know - I`m running a full day event, and made some custom basic action cards (art alts)

URGENT: Cease and Desist Notice//Custom Dice Masters Cards
from Alexis N. Mueller Director of Business and Legal Affairs of National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA)

Emailed to me - with a few shoddy facts, but I cant blame Alexis if the Wizkid staff member kind of fudged the facts when reporting it to him

Now since "This e-mail and any attachments may contain material that is confidential, privileged, proprietary and/or attorney work product, and is for the sole use of the intended recipient. Any review, reliance or distribution by others or forwarding without express permission is strictly prohibited" I wont publish it here (because I dont want to get the reserve pool in trouble and that is the only reason)

But be warn, even thought they let it at their world champions, doing a custom art card could end up with you receiving a Games Workshop style Cease and Desist Notice

They could be seeing it as you or the place running the event profiting off of fake cards. The difference here is that at Worlds, people like Melissa had the real card with them as well to verify that they owned it, and they weren't selling the cards to anybody.

Not saying either side is right or wrong here, just trying to make sense of why you may have received the email. I also don't necessarily know what you mean by "email wizkids and voice your concerns". Are we supposed to email Wizkids and tell them that we want to make our own cards and distribute them? I don't think that would be received well, especially since it seems like they are starting to recognize TRP as a real hub for the Dicemasters community, or at the very least, worth sending some preview product to.

The big Midwest tournament that took place last weekend was going to have a bunch of awesome alt art cards as prizes, but was previewing them on FB and got randomly hit with a C&D, looks like Marvel finally saw what was going on and asked Wizkids to tell people to stahp, which sucks royally.
