Rate this Entry
Hi folks,

How's it going?

Things are getting more exciting over here as the UK Nationals swiftly approach at the end of the month. I'm seeing lots of constructed events between now and then taking place (everyone's getting their last minute practice in!) and in this blog entry I give a re-cap of one such event I participated in on Tuesday night.

I hope you enjoy - please take a moment to comment or offer feedback here or in the blog's comments section.

Thanks for all your continued support.

Good luck to all those competing in a WKO 2 this weekend. Have fun.

2 SRs in six packs has to be the best luck ever! Congrats on your victory! I'm glad you got to test out your wizard in competitive play. I thought it would be a good add.

...and a SR Tarrasque in 6 boosters 2 weeks ago!

Yep - Dwarf Wizard worked a charm. It was great advice from the Reddit hive mind (yourself included, of course) over my indecision.

Key learn; buy him sooner. I'm getting better at seeing the lay of the land on the other side of the table but need to work on when to change up my buying order or not. Same with Wasp & Constantine - need to be a little quicker on the uptake.

Well done sir! I read your blogs here and there and I like your list so I thought I would share with you the one I made based on yours, I went 3-0-1 with it a few weeks ago:

I know you mentioned somewhere you liked 5 cost storm over puzzle, but puzzle was my savior all day long. Removing Oracle, Hellblazer, Hulk, Bard you name it on my opponents turn was just phenomenal. The draw game was because in the Bard slot I had Zombie Magneto, I was thinking I could turn off Hellblazer and Ironfist in one shot. Well turns out I never bought him and relied on puzzle and wizard, and I felt like Bard on this team unlike other bard teams would generally just be bought to close the game off when things get long.

I am a big fan of Elf thief on your team, he does a lot of early game pressure economy wise when your opponent brings you PXG, I missed him on your current edition! I kept him in mine to fuel my Blink Global, Blink also serves as another kill con since the team floods the field quite well.

If anyone is having issues with Oracle - Master Investigator, a list like this one barely relies on globals which makes her much less of a headache. Keep up the good work!

I've chopped and changed my mind a fair few times on removal options and Storm & Millennium Puzzle have always been faves. (Storm just about takes it though) I've flirted a bit with Hawkeye in the past too. This latest version is relying totally on Constantine, Dwarf Wizard & Hulk for removal/protection.

I get what you're saying about Elf Thief - I just couldn't get the timing right with him (never quite there when I needed to spend some of my opponent's energy) so I've gone for a good, old fashioned tax for Globals with the Wasp. It was a tough decision: I've had him in the team for months.

I'm drafting a post at the moment pinning down the reasons I think it's tuned for UK Nationals and, funnily enough, the fact that it's Global-light is on there. It was one of my original motivations for starting the build in the first place.

Thank you so much for reading and your support.
