    Will Zombie Magneto kill alternative ramp solutions?

    So, the primary non-PXG ramp solution (Swarm) relies on sub-4-cost characters.

    Zombie Magneto completely shuts down sub-4-costs.

    So is PXG once again the only reliable ramp option?

    Is this good for the game?

    He's expensive and a high TFC...
    Spider-Woman is great against swarm also....
    Also, aren't there plenty of other ways to shut down swarm already?

    6 costs are not hard to purchase and high TFCs are only a problem on cards you want to churn.

    And she does need to be churned to have the same effect as Z.Magneto.

    All of those that I can think of are far easier to mitigate against than Z.Magneto.

    Actually, I prefer BEWD over Kobolds and PXG.

    But to answer your question, hasn't PXG always been the only "reliable" source of ramp... because you only need a mask...

    Zombie Magneto being the new Meta.........nah not really. He does shut down some stuff (Constantine, Gobby)/slow down the game but he's expensive for a character that doesn't win you the game. For swarm decks? I'll still being seeing Ol Hulk - Green Goliath. He is a great card but the new meta? I just dont see it.

    I didn't suggest that he was "the new Meta".

    I asked whether he would kill alternative ramp solutions, the primary example being Swarm, which I think he shuts down very effectively.

    Far more effectively than Hulk, because damage can be easily mitigated against.

    Global-based removal is easy to mitigate against too.

    But, a 'while active' ability that removes the Swarmers' ability to swarm?

    Not so easy to mitigate against.

    If you don't think so, perhaps you can suggest ways to mitigate against it?

    I agree with scorpion. Magneto would hurt most ramp and churn cards. Ex. Beasts,Zartanas, kobolds all would be effected by Magneto. The only two that would escape his effects would be BEWD & PXG. I feel that if you brought a team planning to use something non PXG and then had magneto come out it would ruin your day. Especially if the other person plays a wasp or jinzo and they brought PXG.
