Attack goes up based on post count, defense goes up based on how long you've been registered. Not sure what causes fielding cost to change. The burst symbol is if you're online.

    That's how it works?
I should have a good amount of attack then.

As far as I've been able to observe, it's 1 as the standard, 2 for 100 posts, 3 for 250 posts and 4 for 1000 posts. Not sure what it takes to hit higher than that. I believe Ken stated that fielding cost was still in the works, but I'm not 100% sure.

Fielding cost is/will be based on "popularity" as measured by "Like" count. It's still in process.

scum and pk2317 are correct: attack is based post count, defense on length as a member, and fielding cost is still being worked on, but will be related to liking and being liked.

If you hover over a stat in a Dicevatar, you'll see what that represents. I don't think I've ever published the full table of values, so here it is!

Attack values (based on number of posts)
    0-25: Attack value of 0
    26-100: Attack value of 1
    101-250: 2
    251-1,000: 3
    1,001-2,500: 4
    2,501-10,000: 5
    10,001-25,000: 6
    25,001-100,000: 7
    100,000-250,000: 8
    250,001+: 9

Defense values (based on number of years as a member)
less than 0.25: Defense value of 0
    0.25-0.5: Defense value of 1
    0.5-1.0: 2
    1.0-1.5: 3
    1.5-2.0: 4
    2.0-3.0: 5
    3.0-5.0: 6 ..
    5.0-7.0: 7
    7.0-10.0: 8
    10.0+: 9

(If someone has time, and sadly I don't at the moment, it might be worth putting Dicevatar info a wiki article. Thanks in advance if you do!)

I was going to suggest that.

Good to see it has already been considered.

You are right. Must have been mixing him and Punisher a bit.

While I like the Dicevatars in principle, I am starting to wonder if it's beginning to lead to a bunch of spam posts or "just boosting my dice stats" type of posts that contribute little to discussions.

This is what usually happens when post counts are highlighted in any forum - which is why I never pay attention to post counts, and liked when that particular stat became less obvious with the new dicevatars.
