Top 10 Board Games, Right Now?

What's your snapshot looking like? While it changes frequently, here's mine as of this moment:

    10 - Telestrations - Just stupid fun.
9 - Freedom: The Underground Railroad - perhaps the best looking and best themed co-op I've seen.
8 - Epic - Much more than just kickstarter hype.
7 - Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn - just got it and it's rocking my world.
6 - Specter Ops - Hidden movement! Tension! Fun!
    5 - Five Tribes - My favorite of 2014.
4 - Xia: Legends of a Drift System - Now if only I got it to the table more often...
3 - Castles of Burgundy - My favorite Feld.
2 - Heroscape/Arena of the Planeswalkers - too similar to be two separate entries.
1 - Alien Frontiers. This game just holds up like crazy.

So if I don't count Dice Masters, since it is more of a CCG, here is mine as of today:

    10. Garbage Day-silly fun dexterity game I won from Mayday games
    9. Twilight Struggle-just played this for the first time and loved it
    8. Boss Monster-love the retro style
    7. Spector Ops-great hidden role game
    6. Freedom Underground Railroad-so thematic, so engaging
    5. SmashUp-knick down fun
    4. Power Grid-classic, one of my all time faves
    3. 7 Wonders-recently entered back into play for me
    2. Revolution-great game for 4 players
    1. Splendor- such a solid quick game

    Just updated my list today:

    10. Eldritch Horror - I love the theme.
    9. Agricola - It's a classic but I only played it for the first time recently. Now I can't stop playing the iOS version.
    8. The Castles of Burgundy - I agree with Dave, this is also my favourite Feld. Great even with inexperienced players.
    7. Twilight Imperium (Third Edition) - The beast. I only get to play this 2 or 3 times a year but it's always memorable.
    6. Seasons - Awesome card game. Surprisingly mean as well (in a good way!).
    5. Pax Porfiriana - A heavy card game. Very cool theme and unique game play.
    4. Forbidden Desert - My favourite co-op. Easy for anyone to pick up but still challenging.
    3. Race for the Galaxy - Just awesome. It only takes 20m or so to play as well once you're familiar with it.
    2. The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game - I play this exclusively solo. Amazingly designed game.
    1. Cosmic Encounter - Simple/minimal rules. Crazy/cool alien powers. I've never had a bad game of this and I've played it a lot.

(Dice Masters is 12th on my list).

This is what my daughter and I have been playing. (List is going to be skewed towards games she can grasp)
    1. Batman Love Letter
    2. One Night Ultimate Werewolf
    3. Dice Masters
    4. King of Tokyo
    5. Krosmaster Arena
    6. Arcadia Quest
    7. Star Realms
    8. Mice and Mystics
    9. DestinyQuest "The Legion of Shadow" (okay it's a gamebook, but I'm kind of contractually obligated to put it on the list)
    10. Golem Arcana (this is my entry since I stream it on Twitch every week)
I would add Epic on this list as well if it were just my top 10.
I have Super Dungeon Explore:Forgotten King on the way and Ashes might not be far behind. So this list might change here in a week or 2.

    3.Cyclades
    4.Splendor
    5.Magic: The Gathering
    6.Five Tribes

So as a person who isn't crazy about tabletops, you still list Kemet at number 2. I have been really tempted to pick that up. What do you like about it enough to get so high on the list?

I don't really know what it is I like about the game. It just feels the way a war game should feel, I guess.

    1. Cosmic Encounter - love the variability from game to game. Not playing it tons, but every time I do, I love it.
    2. Star Trek Attack Wing - say what you will, but I love the theme, I love the system, and I am the preview guy for prize stuff, so I love the game.
    3. Resistance: Avalon - I do enjoy base Resistance, but something about roles just adds so much to the experience.
    4. Pandemic Legacy - Yes, I'm obsessed. Yes, it's awesome. No, I'm not spoiling anything.
    5. Ticket to Ride - I'll play this anytime anyone asks to play it.
    6. 7 Wonders - Solid drafting game, always fun to play, and lots of ways to win.
    7. Dominion - Classic Deckbuilding, but a great game, plus I own all the expansions, and I enjoy the variety.
    8. Splendor - Simple game with a lot of combo play. Slightly different every time, but still a lot of the same ideas.
    9. Machi Koro - Cool blend of dice and cards, more on the cards, but luck of dice. Lots of interaction. Can get long and tedious, but it all works out eventually.
    10. Dice Masters

What expansions are you using? We have the game but haven't quite found the sweet spot that makes everyone enjoy it.

we have the Pegasus and Exodus expansion.
The more players the more it became exciting.
Familiarity with the characters from the series add spice to the game

    In no particular order

    Marvel Legendary
    Zombicide
    King of new york
    Robo Rally
Star Wars - Imperial assault - campaign mode
    Dixit
    Spyfall
    Resistance
    Small world
    Lords of Waterdeep

I didn't include Dice Masters or Magic because it would be unfair to the other games, but if those are included they are easily my top 2.

Of all the lists above, I think my tastes are closest to pishposh and pizzarony.
Adding to the Kemet discussion, the game is a total blood bath. It's a combat driven area control game where you score victory points every time you win combats as the aggressor and effectively can teleport your troops anywhere on the map from turn 1. It's in your face and has some combo elements as you go shopping for tiles.

    Here's my Top 10

    1 Mage Wars
    2 Smash Up
    3 Dice Masters
    4 Mascarade
    5 Dead of Winter
    6 Quantum
    7 Ashes, Rise of Phoenixborn
    8 Kemet
    9 Cosmic Encounter
    10 Codenames
