I admit I'm a little confused by this. As I understand it, all damage is assigned simultaneously. Does this mean that your other characters who are spun up can attack THIS same turn at their new higher level with him? Or are they getting spun up AFTER the damage is assigned, thus potentially prepping them for the next turn. If it's the latter, then the spin up could be all for naught if they were knocked out before it happened. So then only the ones who weren't knocked out or didn't attack get the spin up then?

It would trigger when the damage is assigned, but before the KOs resolve. So the increased attack value wouldn't be used, but the increased defense value could save someone.

Edit: I might be wrong. If he is unblocked and damages the opponent, this is how it should work. But you wouldn't know if he KO'd a character until after the damage resolves, so it would mean only those still alive would benefit.

I believe the effect is intended to resolve after the final part of the Attack Step and before Cleanup.

okay. So basically anyone I have left in the field AFTER the attack step gets spinned up for next turn.

    1 Declare attackers
    2 "When attacking" effects resolve
3 Declare blockers to the attackers
4 "When blocked/engaged" and "when blocking" effects resolve
5 Globals and actions can be played
    6 Combat damage is assigned
    7 Combat damage resolves
    8 "When damage" effects resolve
    9 Knockouts are applied

If Shazam damage an opponent is in phase 8
If KO a character while attacking is after 9.

    Correct?

    Correct?
    Yes:

"Attacking characters that were unblocked (or those with special
abilities) assign damage to the defending player instead of a character.
That damage will be deducted from the player’s life total. These
unblocked characters are moved Out of Play, after dealing damage,
before any other effects resolve other than those that would replace
    damage."
    - Justice League Rulebook, Pg. 11

Damage is dealt, then knockouts are applied.
