    Catwoman super rare

why doesn't the card specify what level to field the die as? Darn it Wizkids

  2. #2
That's a good point. I'd assume it'd have to be the level 1, but really, who knows?

  3. #3
I assume that their ruling would be "level one unless the card otherwise specifies" just like purchase cost manipulation is "minimum 1 unless the card says otherwise."

It also doesn't say that you field the character for free (iirc).

So perhaps you choose the level you are willing, and able, to pay the fielding cost for.

    ?

It does say to attack with it, so I think that precludes fielding and it goes right to the attack zone.

But that can't happen until the attack step begins.

I read this card as being fielded for free at level 1 then, when the attack step begins, you MUST attack with the borrowed character.

Old thread, but I had this question recently and found the official ruling: http://win.wizkids.com/bb/viewtopic....t=5922&p=16155

I really wish WK would set up a system similar to MTG's Gatherer (http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Advanced.aspx) where you can search for cards and view errata text that corrects or clarifies the printed text where necessary. This whole business of "assume the rule is this unless otherwise stated" (in this case, assuming you field the "stolen" character at level 1) is not a good practice, and it prevents the game from being more accessible. An official database with up-to-date rulings would solve so many problems.

    Catwoman: Nine Lives

It should be there, that's one of the intents of the Wiki. I haven't been as on-top of keeping the rulings linked there as I should have, though. But as it's a Wiki, the community is more than welcome to help out

Thanks pk2317, I appreciate the response. The wiki is a good resource. I've added a link to the official ruling to the Catwoman SR page. I'll try to contribute to the wiki when I find similar answers in the future.
